M12 L-coded cable is designed and manufactured according to IEC 61076-2-111 which makes it good cross-manufacturer compatibility. It has the16A rated current, 63V rated voltage, 0.75kW Power, and 10⁸Ω Insulation Resistance. The pin-count numbers of M12 L-coded cables are available with 2 to 4pin with an additional Functional Earth (FE) pin which is for the safety reason. Regarding the cable specification, it uses 16AWG UL2517 PVC jacket OD=8.7mm cable.
