Acquisition of Advanced Low-Pressure Hot Melt Injection Machine
    30 Jul, 2024

Kinsun recently announced the acquisition and installation of a new low-pressure hot melt injection machine, designed to enhance production efficiency and product quality. This advanced machine melts solid hot melt adhesive granules into a liquid using electric heat. Controlled by computer, the liquid adhesive is injected through a plunger system into embedded electronic components. Upon cooling, the adhesive forms a smooth, protective encapsulation. This process offers precise low-pressure control, rapid cooling, and high efficiency without damaging sensitive electronic components.Applications of this technology are extensive, including encapsulation for sensors and waterproof components in automotive, electronics, and medical industries, as well as partial protective encapsulation of PCBs. Compared to traditional epoxy resin dispensing machine, this technology is faster, more space-efficient, precise, and shock-resistant, establishing a new standard in encapsulation materials."This new low-pressure hot melt injection machine represents a significant step forward in enhancing our production capabilities and product quality. We look forward to delivering greater value to our customers." said Wang Yong-Hua, the assistant manager of production of Kinsun. For more information about the new equipment or to discuss potential applications, please contact the Kinsun sales team.

The High-Speed Floating Coaxial BTB Connector (Patent-pending)
    31 Mar, 2022

Kinsun is now developing the high-speed floating coaxial board-to-board connector. The connector features a high transmission speed of up to 6GHz and a patent-pending floating design, which can absorb ±0.5mm clearance in X, Y, and Z directions. The scheduled launch time is in Q3 2022.Nowadays, as the high growing demand for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI), and Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) based on 5G data transmission in the automotive industry, the use of high-speed connectors become more and more imperative for car designers. Kinsun high-speed floating coaxial connector can support the data rates up to 6GHz based on SMB FAKRA connector interface, which can suit most vehicular data transmission rates. Additionally, the floating structure of the contact spring inside the connector can allow the connector to absorb alignment errors in assembly to avoid the rework effort and maintain transmission efficiency during operation.Angus Zheng, the senior sales specialist of Kinsun, led the market research team of this project. He said, "In the future, the car will be like a smartphone, and the brain inside the car will be pretty fast. The connectors need to be kept up with it." Zheng continued, "We know the advantage of board-to-board connectors is they can get rid of the wiring and save the space, but sometimes it comes with the problem of cumulative tolerance, which leads to an assembling failure; the floating structure however can solve this problem. We look forward to introducing it to the market."

Kinsun commits to Net Zero Emissions by 2050
    23 Mar, 2022

On 23rd March 2022, about a hundred ICT companies gathered around at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center to set a goal to reduce carbon emissions effectively. The ICT industry is one of the leading forces in Taiwan's economy; hopefully, this action can be an active appeal to protect the environment. As an essential role in the ICT industry and society, Kinsun paid attention to the environment earlier. Today, around a thousand trees are planted inside the premises. Besides, since 2015, Kinsun has introduced solar panels as renewable energy to provide the non-production electricity consumption. The goal for Kinsun is to achieve 100% green energy for non-production by 2035 and the Net Zero emissions target by 2050.

CAT6A RJ45 Jack is now in the development
    09 Mar, 2022

Today Kinsun announced the developing plan of the CAT6A single port PCB mount RJ45 Jack with LED has started, and it is estimated to be finished by the middle of 2022. The first stage of simulation of the electrical characteristics has been completed. When asked about what it means to him, Alan Yang, the Kinsun senior product engineer in charge of this project, told us that the simulation took three months and more than 80 times of trial and error to get this done. “By using the latest CST studio suite software, we can simulate and know how the possible result may look like before we start opening dies and molds. We passed all the CAT6A standards in this project, including return loss, NEXT, FEXT, and insertion loss. The process was tough, but it was really encouraging to our team when we saw the result.” said Yang. The CAT6A RJ45 can support the 10GBASE-T protocols of Ethernet networking transmitting at 10Gbit/s speed with a maximum distance of 100 meters. This characteristic makes it outstanding in applications like data center, server, switch, storage area network, energy efficiency, etc. “We found that there are a lot of RJ Jacks on the market claimed they are CAT6A, while turned out not qualified when using. And we have seen many demands coming out. That is why we want to offer this connector to the market.” said Marco Chang, the assistant manager of the development department.
