The metric M12 connecting system is under IEC 61076-2 standard and has now been adopted among industries worldwide. There are different codings, and each coding has a gender and configuration. For example, for D-coding 4pin male cable, there are right angle and straight types. Besides, there are multiple options for the length of cable, e.g., 0.5m, 1m, 2m…etc. The commonly used are PVC and PUR materials. PVC is for static applications such as agriculture and the ICT industry, while PUR is used primarily in automation products in the automotive, food and beverage, and warehousing industry.
